Sapphire St. Augustine is a “hard wearing” turfgrass in demanding warm season climates. Sapphire has excellent fall color retention, as well as a good rate of spring greenup. Sapphire is suitable for sand, sandy loam, clay or muck soils. While Sapphire shows very good adaptability to a variety of growing conditions in a range of climates, you should carefully analyze your landscape prior to selecting and installing Sapphire, or any other turfgrass variety.
